RESIDENT OF OAKLEY, CA

Our beloved father, grandfather, and uncle Jesus J. Gonzalez of Las Cruces, NM left his dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with his heavenly Father on Friday October 1, 2010 at John Muir Medical Center in Concord, CA. He was born August 16, 1927 in Julimes, Chihuahua, Mexico to Buena Ventura and Carolina Porras Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez was a retired farmer and a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sons, Jesus J. Gonzalez, Jr. of Denair, CA, Mario A. Gonzalez and wife Francisca of Denair, CA, and Ramiro Gonzalez of San Jose, CA. Four daughters Rosa E. Granados and husband Luis of Antioch, CA, Maria T. Padilla and husband Miguel of Oakley, CA, Rafaela O. Solano and husband Thomas of Albuquerque, NM, and Maria R. Sanchez and husband Adam of Vacaville, CA. Two brothers, Macario Gonzalez of Chihuahua, MX, Eladio Gonzalez of La Misa, TX and one sister Carmen Gonzalez of Chihuahua, MX. Other survivors include 19 grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Socorro Gonzalez and by Ramona O. Gonzalez., his second wife and by his  dear parents and two sisters. 

Visitation for Mr. Gonzalez will begin at 6 PM Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 2200 East 18th Street, Antioch CA 94509 where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. Family and friends will join together to celebrate the funeral mass at 1:30 PM Friday, October 8, 2010 in Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1313 A Street, Antioch, CA 94509.
