RESIDENT OF HAYWARD

Margaret Claire Malfatti passed away on Thursday, September 30 after a long illness. Margaret was born in Hayward, CA and graduated from St. Elizabeth's High School in Oakland, CA. In her early twenties, Margaret was the first runner-up in the Miss Hayward Pageant. She met her late husband, Melvin L. Malfatti, at the Ali Baba Ballroom in Oakland, CA. They were married at All Saints Catholic Church in Hayward in 1948.

Margaret was a homemaker who loved her home and family. She loved to sing and loved all types of music, a love that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending Mass and decorating her home.

Margaret is survived by her loving children; Barbara Simboli of Sonoma, Debra Easley of San Rafael, Ronald Malfatti of Madera and Beverli Johnson of Livermore. She lost a loving daughter, Raeanne Keliiaa on September 6, 2010. Beloved Grandmother to 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her generous and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family are invited to a Visitation on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Holy Angels Funeral & Cremation Center in Hayward. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday October 6, 2010 at 10:30am at All Saints Catholic Church, Hayward.
